For this project, a colonial Virginia house design was selected to have a modern addition developed onto it. The addition consists of a den/family room and library and is connected directly to the house given the daily interaction of the space. The addition both delineates itself from and references itself to the house by changing its angle based on geometry created in the central oval room.
